John Spear with Edge Realty

I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau and currently reside here with my amazing wife of 20+ years, Kim, and our terrific high school freshman Max. I enjoy coaching youth sports, playing golf, cooking/grilling, and spending quality time with loved ones. I have always been an avid supporter of our community. I am proud to currently serve as President of The United Way of South East Missouri Board of Directors, Volunteer Coordinator for the Muddy River Marathon, and I'm on The Cape Girardeau Parks and Rec Advisory Board. I stay very active in the community by volunteering with various organizations such as The Salvation Army, The VFW, The Cape Chamber(I was the 2024 Chair of the Leadership Cape Development Committee and Co-Chair for the Cape Chamber Leadership Academy, The Happy Slapowitz's Toy Bash, and I am a past President of SEMO’s Redhawks Club BOD. In 2023 I was honored by being named a "Difference Maker" in Southeast Missouri by B magazine.There is no better feeling than that of giving back to, and making a difference in the community that means so much to me and my family. In 2020 joined Edge Realty (Realty Executives Edge at that time), and haven't looked back since. I have been blessed to meet, work with and befriend so many amazing people along the way. I am obviously passionate about my favorite teams and this community, but I am equally passionate about helping my clients achieve their goals. Whether it's making their home-ownership dreams come true for the first time or selling their former home to make a fresh start in a new home. My slogan is "Pointing You Home", and that's exactly what I do for my clients, by guiding them through the entire process of buying or selling a home and I strive to continue that relationship for years to come.
